This research primarily consists of two major research projects; The National Listener Survey, used to gauge the total number of listeners across Australia by region and the Station Census, used to learn more about station activities.

1WAY FM broadcasts positive music by Christian artists, quality Bible-teaching programs and other programs that encourage a positive Christian lifestyle. Our mainstay is an adult contemporary format, but we also air specialty music programs covering inspirational worship music, traditional hymns & choruses, and a range of youth music. Our spoken word programs include Focus on the Family (Dr James Dobson), A New Beginning (Greg Laurie) and 66/40 (Chuck Missler), as well as regular contributions from local personalities.
