The Community Broadcasting Foundation (CBF) is an independent non-profit funding agency that solicits and distributes funds for the maintenance and development of community broadcasting in Australia including specialist services for Ethnic, Indigenous and Radio for the Print Handicapped audiences.

The Foundation’s values affirm the principles of access, diversity, independence, innovation and localism and aims to assist community broadcasting to reach its full potential as a well-resourced, independent, diverse, vibrant and accessible Australian media sector.

Reflecting the non-profit volunteer driven philosophy of the sector it serves, the Foundation operates with a small Secretariat and forty dedicated volunteers who sit on grants advisory committees and project advisory groups as well as the Board of Directors.
