Published in 2007, the Community Media Matters report is a comprehensive study of Australian community radio audiences.  This project is of national and international significance – worldwide, there has been no attempt to listen to community media audience members on a comparable scale.

The report is the culmination of a two-year national qualitative audience study of Australian community broadcasting audiences conducted by Griffith University.  The data enhances known listenership information by examining why listeners choose community broadcasters. The study gives further insights into how listeners access content, and takes a detailed look at Indigenous and ethnic stations and audiences.
