UGFM is a popular Community Radio Station ( known as Radio Murrindindi - ugfm) operating since 1994 across the Murrindindi Shire. Geographical area is approximately 130 kilometres north-east of Melbourne.
The studio is located at Alexandra. The Station is fully volunteer and
has around 50 presenters. The Station operates 24 hours per day, 7 days
a week.
All tastes are catered for with a diverse programming format.
Daytime programmes consist of local news and information, interviews,
easy listening music (for all ages).
Specialist programs are broadcast on weekday evenings & nights.
Surveys indicate that UGFM is the most to listened Station in the Region.
A number of transmitters have been installed across the Shire to improve
transmission.
The Station is proud of its achievements and its record.
A feature is regular outside broadcasts from many events within the Shire.
New presenters are welcome. Regular training is conducted.
