RPH Albury/Wodonga exists to meet the information needs of those 1 in 10 in the community who, cannot adequately access the print media because of their print disability. People may have a print disability for reasons including
- Blindness or low vision
- a physical disability inhibiting handling of the printed page
- a learning, comprehension or language difficulty rendering the spoken word more accessible than print
The station is volunteer based and programs are sourced from a broad range of monthly, weekly and daily newspapers, magazines, books and government information. Programs cover news, current affairs, and lifestyle t There are also specialised information programs from Government, Disability and other community organisations.
The station is operated by Vision Australia Foundation a not for profit agency specialising in service delivery to Blind and Vision Impaired people.
