Historic MOU for Arnhem Land

An historic memorandum of understanding (MOU) covering the Miwatj (North East Arnhem Land) region was officially endorsed at a ceremony in Nhulunbuy on this day. The document, outlining commitment and responsibilities to improve Yolngu learning and training outcomes, was signed by representatives from ATSIC’s Miwatj Regional Council; the Commonwealth Department of Education, Science and Training; the Commonwealth Department of Employment and Workplace Relations; Centrelink; and the NT Department of Employment, Education and Training.
