An agreement to set up the Queensland Indigenous Leaders’ Forum (QILF) was signed in Brisbane by the combined elected representatives of the 150,000 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of The forum was designed to bring Queensland’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander representatives elected under both commonwealth and state legislation together to form a powerful new forum to speak with “one voice” on indigenous issues.
