Graham Farmer

A best-on-ground performance in the 1963 Grand Final was a tribute to Graham Farmer's his great ability - a display thrilling many thousands of spectators. He was a strong mark, his kicking was precise and accurate, and his ability to develop a team approach to his play created opportunities all around the ground for his team mates, and had a positive effect on their play. Graham 'Polly' Farmer left his mark on Australian Football as one of the greatest ever to have played the game. He captained Geelong for 57 games, and was selected in the 1963 premiership where he was named Best and Fairest 1963. He represented Victoria six times, and has been inducted into the AFL Hall of Fame and named in the AFL Team of the Century.
