Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, we broadcast a wide range of fine music, in classical, jazz, opera and contemporary styles, as well as music education programs and live concert recordings. 2MBS-FM, Australia's first community-based, listener-supported radio station is owned and operated by the Music Broadcasting Society of New South Wales Co-operative Limited. It commenced broadcasting on 15 December 1974 and was officially opened on 1 February 1975.
